Home Depot now sells what they call paintable wall paper which is an easy and quick fix. You can cover these walls with this wallpaper and paint it your color of choice and it makes for a brand new modern and fresh looking wall. The floors also need new linoleum as it is the old fashioned yellow tile. What is great about this kitchen needing re-vamped is you can make it really shine again and use your imagine in the project; You can cosmetically re-do the room the way you want. The room is very solid. Walls and Floors are solid and drop ceiling is solid but needs painted. The kitchen is rather large and there is a window overlooking the side yard, and a door to take you back to the Dining Room, to the basement, or back to the Living Room. The door leading to the basement there is a small alcove pantry will shelves that line the walls for your canned or boxed goods. This alcove is spacious and also has a small decorative window.
