With approx. 2000 sq ft of living space, this home features all the original qualities needed to return this home back into the 'Crown Jewel' it once was. It is in a nice, quite setting with good neighbors and plenty of good shade. The yard is very large and offers plenty of room to build a nice shop, a garage, a storage building, plant fruit trees or have a large garden. There's room for all of that! To top it off, there is a small CREEK that runs through the wooded area on the east side of the property. There's a nice view from the deck and even more so when everything is green and the trees are leafed out. This home is structurally sound and with a full basement. The downstairs features very nice oak hardwood trim throughout and oak hardwood floors. I removed all the carpet in the house and hidden under the carpet were beautiful, oak hardwood floors! I have not re-finished the floors but they are in good shape and would be stunning if one chose to re-finish them. The downstairs consists of a large living room with a gorgeous fireplace, a large dining room, a beautiful oak staircase, nice oak trim at the front door entrance in the living room, a nice half bath, a large kitchen, and a back porch to come into from the deck. The wallpaper in the living room (the room with the fireplace) is starting to peel off and will need to be replaced. The wallpaper in the dining room is in pretty good shape (other than dated) and would not have to come off. There will need to be some oak wood baseboard trim put in to match the remainder of the oak baseboard in the living room and dining room where the baseboard heat systems were. I have dis-assembled and removed some of the baseboard heating units but not all of them. The kitchen floor is older linoleum flooring. I peeled it back on an edge to take a peek under it and there is oak hardwood under the sub-flooring that the linoleum is glued to. There are three large bedrooms upstairs with lots of closet space in each room. There is also a nice, large full bathroom upstairs. The bedrooms all have hardwood floors.The home is a 'Diamond in the Rough' right now and will need some home improvements along with some basic additions to make it liveable. Things such as; kitchen appliances, a hot water heater, a heating source/unit for the home, a new screen door for the main entrance, a screen door on the deck door, and there may be some plumbing that needs repaired. I have repaired the main water line into the basement and replaced some broken water lines. The only leak I am currently aware of is where the ice maker water line is clamped onto a bigger water line. It needs a new clamp-on fitting. I was repairing water lines on a 'process of elimination' basis then it turned cold before year end so I shut the water off and drained everything. I haven't worked on the water lines since then. The 1,000 gallon propane tank that you can see in the pictures will stay with the property and you will own it. All the windows have really nice storm windows on them and are in working condition. There are two central air condition systems sitting on the east side of the house. One services the upstairs and one services the downstairs. I do not know if they are in working condition or not. They look fine and other than not being used for a year or so, I see no reason why they wouldn't work. The house is connected to city water and city sewer. You can see a regulator on the outside of the home that looks like a natural gas meter, but it was used for the propane tank. There is no natural gas in the City of Browning. The Linn County real estate taxes for 2011 were $377.15 and the City of Browning real estate taxes for 2011 were $67.21 for a combined total of $444.36 and they have been paid. Browning is a small north central Missouri town with a population of about 400. The house directly across the street to the west is undergoing a complete renovation at this time and will really be a nice looking home when completed. The other homes in the immediate neighborhood are all very nice homes and you can see the neighboring homes in a lot of the pictures on the flickr links. This area of the State also offers some of the finest whitetail deer hunting there is anywhere in the country. Huge bucks are taken regularly in this area. Plus, wild turkey, waterfowl, and plenty of good fishing are all here, too! To top it off, there is a small CREEK that runs through the wooded area on the east side of the property. There's a nice view from the deck and even more so when everything is green and the trees are leafed out. This home is structurally sound and with a full basement. The downstairs features very nice oak hardwood trim throughout and oak hardwood floors. I removed all the carpet in the house and hidden under the carpet were beautiful, oak hardwood floors! I have not re-finished the floors but they are in good shape and would be stunning if one chose to re-finish them. The downstairs consists of a large living room with a gorgeous fireplace, a large dining room, a beautiful oak staircase, nice oak trim at the front door entrance in the living room, a nice half bath, a large kitchen, and a back porch to come into from the deck. The wallpaper in the living room (the room with the fireplace) is starting to peel off and will need to be replaced. The wallpaper in the dining room is in pretty good shape (other than dated) and would not have to come off. There will need to be some oak wood baseboard trim put in to match the remainder of the oak baseboard in the living room and dining room where the baseboard heat systems were. I have dis-assembled and removed some of the baseboard heating units but not all of them. The kitchen floor is older linoleum flooring. I peeled it back on an edge to take a peek under it and there is oak hardwood under the sub-flooring that the linoleum is glued to. There are three large bedrooms upstairs with lots of closet space in each room. There is also a nice, large full bathroom upstairs. The bedrooms all have hardwood floors.The home is a 'Diamond in the Rough' right now and will need some home improvements along with some basic additions to make it liveable. Things such as; kitchen appliances, a hot water heater, a heating source/unit for the home, a new screen door for the main entrance, a screen door on the deck door, and there may be some plumbing that needs repaired. I have repaired the main water line into the basement and replaced some broken water lines. The only leak I am currently aware of is where the ice maker water line is clamped onto a bigger water line. It needs a new clamp-on fitting. I was repairing water lines on a 'process of elimination' basis then it turned cold before year end so I shut the water off and drained everything. I haven't worked on the water lines since then. The 1,000 gallon propane tank that you can see in the pictures will stay with the property and you will own it. All the windows have really nice storm windows on them and are in working condition. There are two central air condition systems sitting on the east side of the house. One services the upstairs and one services the downstairs. I do not know if they are in working condition or not. They look fine and other than not being used for a year or so, I see no reason why they wouldn't work. The house is connected to city water and city sewer. You can see a regulator on the outside of the home that looks like a natural gas meter, but it was used for the propane tank. There is no natural gas in the City of Browning. The Linn County real estate taxes for 2011 were $377.15 and the City of Browning real estate taxes for 2011 were $67.21 for a combined total of $444.36 and they have been paid. Browning is a small north central Missouri town with a population of about 400. The house directly across the street to the west is undergoing a complete renovation at this time and will really be a nice looking home when completed.
